Short-Term Accommodation (STA), also known as respite, is also an opportunity for people with disability, family or carers to take a short break from their daily routine.
STA enables people with disability to be independent and achieve their goals in a supported environment.
Yooralla’s STA home are a great place to meet people, enjoy activities and have the support of fully qualified staff to support your daily living needs.
Our homes are purpose-built, fully accessible and fitted with appropriate assistive technologies and supported by highly trained and qualified staff.
Guests can stay for a day, overnight, a weekend or a few weeks. Stays can be for a planned rest or for an emergency visit, they may be regular or occasional.
Respite for adults who require ventilator assistance
Located in Thornbury, our Ventilator Accommodation Support Service (VASS) features three long-term residential houses, and one house for people who require either planned or emergency respite support.

Are you looking for other home and living supports? We support independence and choice with a range of accommodation options and can assist you, or someone you support. Whether you need support around the clock or just for a few hours a day, we can work with you to design a support program that suits your needs.
