What do you want to do when you finish school?
Whether you’re looking for fun, to connect with new friends, get out and about in the community, learn new skills, play sports, or more — there are great opportunities at a Yooralla Community Hub near you.
I want to be more independent and learn new skills
expand_moreAt our Community Hubs, you can participate in programs to develop important life skills, such as meal preparation and cooking, money management, numeracy and literacy skills, train travel, and more. You can also build your self-awareness, vocational choices and independence during our Foundation program, designed for 16–22-year-olds with intellectual disability. This one-year program provides the foundational skills for people who want to transition into the Impact Program or pursue other life goals.
We’ll work with you to understand your goals and develop a program tailored to your needs and outcomes.

Maybe you would like to work in retail, at one of our Social Enterprises, be an electrician, or even run your own business – whatever your employment goals are, Yooralla can support you to pursue them by providing job skills training and building pathways into employment.
If employment is your goal, you can also join Impact, a unique one-year job training program for people with intellectual disability that combines classroom job skills training with hands-on work experience, to prepare people with disability for employment with one of our employer partners.
I want to study further

Our Community and Learning Hubs are dedicated to learning and development, offering several non-accredited training programs, matched to individual goals and needs. Our Hubs can provide opportunities for work and volunteer experience. Programs aim to help build confidence in a learning environment and can be a stepping stone to TAFE courses or open employment.
We also have existing partnerships with several TAFEs, so we can support you in this environment. Our Community and Learning Hub programs and supports are complementary to our employment supports and can help you transition to paid work.

We can provide one-to-one support and tailor your Hub program to your interests to enhance your life skills, independence and wellbeing.
