Sharing the stories of Timothy Jong for World Cerebral Palsy Day
Tim has been supported by staff at the St Albans Community Hub for many years to gain practical writing experience, preparing articles for the Hub’s quarterly newsletter.
October 6 marks World Cerebral Palsy (CP) Day, an occasion where people around the world come together to celebrate and support those living with CP, embrace diversity and to create a more accessible future for everyone.
Yooralla is proud to support many children and adults with CP, across all of our services – including award winning writer and Yooralla customer Timothy Jong.
Tim has been supported by staff at the St Albans Community Hub for many years to gain practical writing experience, preparing articles for the Hub’s quarterly newsletter.
Recently, we have been very lucky to have had Tim share a number of his published works with us, which have been shared across our intranet, website and social media - to much positive feedback!
With each piece published, Tim edges closer to his National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) goal of becoming a professional writer, and we are proud to support him on this endeavour.
You can read his recent published works below, with many more to come!
- Putting business into show business
- Communication: how my device allows me to converse to my peers
- Why friends matter.
If you would like to share your written contributions on the Yooralla website, please get in touch with the Marketing and Communications team on marcoms@yooralla.com.au.
World Cerebral Palsy Day aims to ensure children and adults living with Cerebral Palsy have the same rights, access and opportunities as the wider community. Read more about World Cerebral Palsy Day.
