Promoting ComTEC services with brand-new website

Yooralla’s ComTEC team have launched a brand-new website to support the community with their communication and assistive technology needs.

The new website supports individuals, families, speech pathologists (SPs) and occupational therapists (OTs) to explore, trial, optimise and purchase equipment for communication, computer access and environmental control needs.

Clients, their carers and industry professionals can access information about Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) options, find out how they can trial and hire equipment, and directly connect with our ComTEC team.

Visitors can also sign up to the ComTEC newsletter to keep up to date with all the latest technology and book an initial 30-minute consultation with the team.

Providing access to AAC is particularly important to highlight this AAC Awareness month, where the theme is ‘Show Your Voice’.

The work of ComTEC is pivotal in supporting people with disability to show their voice, as they support individuals, therapists and families in designing the best communication and assistive technology solutions using, mainstream and disability-specific equipment.

Throughout AAC Awareness month, the AAC community have the opportunity to show their voices and how they use technologies to communicate effectively; displaying the talents of persons who use AAC in other ways; or highlighting actions that promote communication access.
