Mark Hulbert Highly Commended in Yooralla’s Leadership Award 2021

Mark Hulbert, Group Manager RRSS, Home and Living, North Region was recently highly commended in Yooralla’s 2021 Leadership Award for implementing new processes to reduce agency staff usage.
The Leadership Award is for an individual employee who has excelled in people leadership; led the organisation through change; and executed their role by driving their own individual performance and expertise.
Communication and collaboration
Mark Hulbert volunteered to lead the Relief Staff Unit in addition to his Group Manager role for an extended period of four months.
“Only being new to Yooralla (14 months) made this recognition even more appreciated,” said Mark.
Mark was nominated by Leanne Turner, Chief Operating Officer. Leanne has observed Mark’s strong customer focus when providing rostering solutions in residential and respite services.
“Mark inspired, motivated and coached the relief staffing unit to work collaboratively together and support the services in finding the best staffing solutions to cover vacant shifts, during a period of significant workforce challenges and COVID-19 restrictions,” said Leanne.
Mark has introduced new communication processes, developed new KPIs, and implemented an enhanced rostering process that enabled the organisation to reduce agency usage.
“I am proud to be recognised for not only ensuring consistent quality service delivery in my role as North Group Manager of the RSU, but also improving the delivery of casual staff services across all RRSS regions,” said Mark.
