The talented artists in the art program at Yooralla’s Mansfield Community Hub have had a busy few months! From art exhibitions to a local fair, the Hub has been buzzing with creativity, community spirit and artistic success.

Creative Minds Exhibition

For the month of October, the Hub’s artists proudly showcased their work at the Creative Minds exhibition at Mansfield Arts Collective Studios. With 52 of their artworks on display, the exhibition was one to remember. On the opening night, Mansfield Hub artists sold 14 of their pieces—an incredible achievement for our artists!

“I liked all of the paintings, but my favourite was the one I made with the clay buttons,” said Emily, Yooralla Mansfield Hub client.

Client Annie-Marie also expressed her delight, saying she enjoyed seeing her paintings on display and reconnecting with friends.

Visitors were full of praise for the brilliant artwork and the artists’ talent.

Showcasing at the Mansfield Pride Fair

MY Kaleidoscope, a small business created from the art program at Mansfield Hub, hosted a stall at the Mansfield Pride Fair in October, which was a big hit!

Clients Chantelle and Emily manned the stall with confidence, sharing information about MY Kaleidoscope and selling an array of their hand-made cards, magnets and keyrings.

The event’s location, right next to the Hub, was a perfect spot to connect with the community and highlight the fantastic work happening at Mansfield Community Hub. Emily took the opportunity to promote the Hub’s upcoming art events and Open Day.

Chantelle enjoyed showcasing her cards and expertly handled purchases on the EFTPOS machine.

Mansfield Open Studio Trail (MOST) and Bush Market

During the 6th annual Mansfield Open Studio Trail (MOST) weekend, the Hub opened its doors to the public, welcoming around 60 visitors over two days. Hub clients exhibited and sold artwork they created throughout the year.

On the same weekend, several artists contributed to the MY Kaleidoscope stall at the Bush Market, selling cards and even a few of their larger art pieces.

Clients worked hard on their artwork in the lead-up to these events and were very excited to see their artwork on display and to open the Hub to the community and visitors.

A highlight at the Mansfield Hospital Auxiliary Art Exhibition

Earlier this month, four Mansfield Hub artists proudly exhibited their work at the 46th annual Mansfield Hospital Auxiliary Art Exhibition, selling four pieces. The Hub’s participation in the event showcased the incredible talent of our artists to a broader audience.

A huge congratulations to the Mansfield Hub’s artists and clients for their outstanding efforts and achievements! We can’t wait to see what they create next.
