Ghouls, games and great costumes at Benalla Hub’s first Halloween celebration!
Yooralla's Benalla Community Hub celebrated Halloween in style with its first-ever spooky party, filled with creative costumes, Halloween decorations and a delicious lunch.
Benalla Community Hub celebrated Halloween in style this year with its first-ever spooky party. Clients from surrounding Yooralla Community Hubs and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) homes came together for a fun day, filled with creative costumes, Halloween decorations and a delicious lunch. The turnout was fantastic, with everyone really embracing the Halloween spirit!
The costumes on display showcased the incredible creativity and dedication of both participants and staff.
“Some of the costumes worn had many hours spent at home in the designing and creating phase, so I'm very proud to see the commitment and creativity," said James, Yooralla Service Manager.
A highlight of the day was the costume contest, with prizes awarded to the most hauntingly dressed. Client Jenna took first place for her handmade Freddy Fazbear costume from the movie ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’, followed by clients Kate in second place, and Daniel and Jayne tied for third place.

Decorations at the Benalla Hub added to the eerie atmosphere, thanks to the hard work of Yooralla staff member Paula, who led participants in crafting handmade and digital art decorations - transforming the Hub into a haunted masterpiece.
Staff and clients from Benalla, Mansfield and Wangaratta Hubs joined forces to prepare a delicious lunch for everyone to enjoy, making it a true team effort.
The Benalla Hub staff and clients extend their thanks to everyone who made this Halloween celebration a success and are already looking forward to an even spookier party next year!
