Yooralla is proud to partner with AbilityMade to develop a new orthotic service aimed at improving access and outcomes for children with disability in Victoria.

This collaboration is focused on improving service delivery and achieving better outcomes for people with disability who require orthotics.

The new orthotic service partnership is being carefully designed with input from the community to ensure it addresses the specific needs and preferences of our clients. Key features of the service include:

  • closer collaboration between physiotherapists and orthotists
  • improved access to orthotic services with shorter travel distances and reduced wait times
  • access to more efficient and advanced orthotic designs, and
  • streamlined booking processes.

This initiative is made possible through the generous support of the William Buckland Foundation, whose commitment to enhancing the lives of people with disability has been instrumental in bringing this project to life.

At Yooralla, we provide high-quality, tailored services that enhance the lives of people with disability. This collaboration with AbilityMade is another step in our ongoing commitment to delivering innovative solutions to support children with disability and their families to live their best lives.

Do you use or need orthotics? We want to hear from you!

If you support a child who is a current Yooralla client that receives Therapy services from us, we would love to hear from you. We are conducting a survey and are keen to hear about your current experience with orthotic services, as well as your ideas and preferences for a better service delivery model. The survey will take less than 10 minutes and closes on 13 September 2024.

About AbilityMade

AbilityMade are lower limb orthotic specialists who create cutting edge 3D printed Ankle-Foot Orthoses (AFOs) that are customised to your needs, interests and lifestyle. We partner with orthotists to create devices with optimal balance between fit, comfort, prescription and structural integrity, and also run onsite orthotic clinics in collaboration with other service providers.

As a for-purpose company, our mission is to increase access to better orthotic services and solutions to unlock better client outcomes. Digital manufacture offers possibilities beyond traditional manufacture, and the pleasure of wearable art.

And our next generation AFOs unlock design features that are not possible using traditional manufacture to better reach your child’s movement milestones and goals.
