Donation leads to great improvements at Mansfield Community Hub
A new level of zen has been reached in Mansfield, after an anonymous gift of $300 was donated to the Community Hub.
Clients at the Hub put their heads together to choose how the funds would be spent, with a majority requesting the purchase of items to improve the relaxation/meditation program.
These items included a diffuser, calming oil, individual cushions and a blackout blind, with clients choosing their desired cushions and items at the KHub store in Mansfield.
Suzanne, Assistant Service Leader at the Hub said, “the relaxation area is being enjoyed by almost all of our clients during the week.”
“The added blackout blind and individual cushions used with the yoga mats and the diffuser has made the area a happy place for clients to relax,” said Suzanne.
As well as improving the relaxation/meditation space, the donation was also used to make a difference in other areas of the Hub.
“Two other clients wanted to help bring birds into our garden and a place for bees to drink so a birdbath has been purchased,” said Suzanne.
“We also have a couple of clients who like to build sculptures, so we purchased a heavy-duty stapler to use during the art program.”
The clients will even have a chance to celebrate the new improvements to the Hub thanks to the donations…
“We have $8.50 left so a cake has been suggested for morning tea!” said Suzanne.
A huge thank you to this anonymous donor! Donations like this make a difference to our clients’ experiences.
