This week we're celebrating International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), which falls on Sunday 3 December this year.
IDPwD aims to increase awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disability. The 2023 theme for IDPwD asks everyone to work together to make the world better and more equitable for people with disability.
Join us in recognising all people with disability this IDPwD.
"Make the world more accessible...something for people with disability makes the world more equitable for everyone" - Megan Spindler-Smith.
Hear from our wonderful Co-CEO Megan Spindler-Smith with their thoughts on the importance of working together to make the world more equitable for people with disability.
We also asked longstanding Yooralla volunteer (and all round legend) Peter Johnstone for his thoughts on what steps we could take to improve inclusion for people with disability.
"What would be really nice is if we didn't have to have an International Day of Disability and, like everybody else, our day was our birthdays" - Peter Johnstone.
