How to get started

Step 1 - Find a Hub
Read all about Fawkner Community Hub and our other Hubs and community supports, including Frequently Asked Questions, on our website. If you have any questions about the Hub, please contact us. We can work with you to tailor a program to your individual goals, needs and interests to enhance your life skills, independence and wellbeing.

Step 2 – Book in a visit
Complete our Request for service form linked on this page to let us know you're interested in the Fawkner Community Hub. Once you submit a request our Yooralla Connect team will get in touch. We can support you to book in a free tour and chat to us to meet our staff and clients, see what activities are on offer, ask about anything else you may want to do, and to get familiar with the location.

The Fawkner Community Hub in Northern Melbourne, is accessible from Melbourne city and Flinders street station or Melbourne Central Station.
Take a Craigieburn Line train toward Craigieburn. Get off at Fawkner Station. This trip takes about 30 minutes from the city.
From Fawkner Station, you can take Bus Route 530 (Coburg to Campbellfield) and get off the bus at the intersection of Jukes Road and Bain Avenue or Walk from the station to the Fawkner Community Hub (15 minutes).
If you are already located in Fawkner or nearby suburbs, we can put you in touch with a taxi company that many of our clients use to take them to the Hub – please ask us about this when you contact us.
As part of the Community Access Hub’s life skills programs, we offer travel training, road safety and safety in the community programs to support independent travel.
Yes! Please contact us to get a copy of the latest Community Hub program. However, don’t let your imagination be limited by what’s in the program! Let us know what you want to do, and we can work with you to tailor a community program to suit your goals, interests and needs.
Our current Fawkner Community Hub program is just an indication of the types of learning, social, active, community access and fun activities you may want to do through our Community Hub. Talk to us about your interests and what you want to do, and we can work with you to tailor a program to suit your goals, interests and needs. We also have other community access opportunities outside of our Hubs.
For every three clients at Fawkner Community Hub in our group programs, we generally have one staff member. Our staff are trained in meal-time assistance, epilepsy and diabetes management, mediation administration, asthma, enteral meal support and positive behaviour support/behaviour of concern.
Yooralla also offers 1:1 support for people to participate in our Community Hubs and Recreation services through our Assistance with Daily Life service. This could range from support to get ready for the day, to support for you to attend a Fawkner Community Hub program or community activity.
