At Yooralla, our team of experienced therapists can support children, young people and adults with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT).

Our team of therapists have the clinical skills and expertise to support you throughout your life to find the most suitable assistive technology equipment. From moving around safely at home, to joining your friends in the community or talking with your family, our physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology teams can work with you, and your support network, to support your communication, learning, recreation and daily life goals.

Yooralla also provides specialist AT programs and services. We can work with you, your support network, and your primary therapist to provide expert support and clinical guidance on communication and AT. We also provide powered mobility for young children through our 'On the Move' program.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT) Consultants

Our specialist AAC and AT Consultants provide personalised support to explore, trial and select the right communication and AT solutions, working collaboratively with families and primary therapists to enhance independence and participation.

Electronic Communication Devices Scheme (ECDS)

Yooralla administers the Electronic Communication Devices Scheme (ECDS), which is a Victorian state government funded service that subsidises communication devices, software, apps and mounting systems.

Yooralla’s 'On the Move' powered mobility program

Yooralla’s On the Move program is a unique program to support young children (under the age of 5 years) access powered mobility devices to enable them to independently explore their environments and participate in their community. We have a large fleet of powered mobility devices available for you to hire and trial, including Wizzybugs and Permobil Mini Explorers.
